Relyance Bank today announced that Chuck Morgan will transition from Chairman and CEO of the bank to Chairman and CEO of Jefferson Bancshares, Inc. (JBI), effective January 1, 2027. Morgan, whose service with Relyance spans 39 years, will continue serving on the bank’s Board of Directors and remain actively involved in the organization’s future.
As part of a succession planned for years, Scott Pittillo will move into the role of President and CEO of Relyance Bank and chair its Board of Directors, also effective January 1, 2027. Pittillo currently serves as the bank’s President.
“This transition allows me to focus on responsibilities at JBI while continuing to support an organization and community that mean so much to me,” said Morgan. “I am deeply grateful to our employees and customers for helping build the strength of this bank. We have an experienced team and a clear direction, and I look forward to supporting Scott as we continue moving Relyance forward.”
In December 2025, Morgan informed the Board that Pittillo was his planned successor to lead Relyance Bank. Their years of working together provide consistency in leadership and a shared strategic vision centered on financial strength, disciplined growth and commitment to customers, employees and communities.
“Scott and I share a vision for Relyance’s future: pursuing growth with sound banking principles and preserving the relationships that distinguish us as a community bank,” said Morgan. “I have great confidence in his judgment and readiness to lead. Our focus remains on building momentum, responding to our customers’ needs and strengthening the communities we serve.”
Pittillo brings more than two decades of banking experience, including roles in consumer and commercial lending, funds management and financial leadership. A White Hall native, he earned a degree in agricultural business from the University of Arkansas and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University and the Moore School of Investments at the University of South Carolina.
His community service includes multiple terms on the White Hall School Board, including as president, and service as chairman of Jefferson Regional’s Hospital Board. He currently serves on the Jefferson Regional Hospital Association Board and the Arkansas Bankers Association Board, reflecting a longstanding commitment to education, health care and community development.
In his JBI role, Morgan will focus on financial oversight, shareholder relations and corporate governance while continuing to represent JBI and Relyance Bank in the community and banking industry. His continued involvement, together with Pittillo’s leadership and the bank’s experienced management team, will support Relyance’s long-term growth.
A celebration of Chuck Morgan’s contributions and retirement from Relyance Bank will take place on Tuesday, December 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Headquarters of Relyance Bank at 8500 Sheridan Road in White Hall, AR. The public is welcome to attend.
